I read part of Phonogram #1 over my girlfriend's shoulder the other day and while I loved it at the time, it can't hold a candle to the McKelvie of today. My favourite touch in this issue is the magic high heels that the fae character is wearing on the last page. That's the kind of thing that shows an artist (and writer) thinking about his craft in some serious detail. As I’ve said before, I can’t believe how much the artwork improves every issue.
