Goddard certainly has the best grasp on the pacing - surprising really, given that this is his first comic arc ever! It feels like it's been there, offering rock-solid entertainment, forever. I'd place Wolves At The Gate above the first arc, simply because it felt like a properly coherant story, instead of a sucession of set pieces.
